Discover how ZEISS FE-SEM integrates automated heating and tension experiments to analyze materials' microstructures in real-time. This system enhances material development through connected microscopy and analytics.
When you need to link materials performance to microstructure, ZEISS puts an automated
heating and tension experimental lab at your disposal. Observe materials under heat and
tension automatically while plotting stress-strain curves on the fly.
The system scripts complex experiments by defining multiple regions of interest (ROIs), centers them automatically in the field of view, performs autofocus, and uses different imaging magnifications, scan rates or detectors to collect data. Thermal and mechanical loading steps, and what image or analytical data to collect at each step of the experiment, are all specified by the operator in a common user interface.
Gain a deep understanding of the relationship between a materials’ properties and microstructure, essential for developing novel materials with tailored properties.
